Great Walks, Stunning Scenery, Fine Company and more!
Welcome to the Drovers' Tryst Walking Festival - from the 6th to 13th October 2012
Crieff & Strathearn Drovers' Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the
people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s. The modern day Tryst is run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn & surrounding areas of Perthshire. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.
Complementing the walks is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with music, drama, film and dancing! The Tryst also embraces two mountain bike events, and there is great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions. And a photography competition too!
The 2011 Tryst festival is now over, but the walks and events from 2011 will remain on the site until the 2012 programme is ready.
