Great Walks, Stunning Scenery, Fine Company and more!
Welcome to the Drovers' Tryst Walking Festival - 9th to 17th October 2010

Crieff & Strathearn Drovers Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s. The modern day Tryst is run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn and its surrounding area. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.
Complementing the walks is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with music, drama, film and dancing! The Tryst also embraces two mountain bike events, and there is great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions.
WalksGuided walks are the core of the festival, ranging from themed easy walks to high level walks in the hills up to an hour away from Crieff.
This year more than 30 walks will include classics, new routes and old favourites, with something to suit all interests and abilities!
Mountain BikingTwo excellent MTB events giving an opportunity for riders of all levels to take part.
The St Fillans MTB Challenge is 22 miles on tracks & roads on Sunday 10th October. The Hairy Coo MTB Race is a series of 3 separate off-road races on Sunday 17th Oct.
