Great Walks, Stunning Scenery, Fine Company and more!
Welcome to the Drovers' Tryst Walking Festival - from the 6th to 13th October 2012
Crieff & Strathearn Drovers' Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the
people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s. The modern day Tryst is run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn & surrounding areas of Perthshire. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.
Complementing the walks is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with music, drama, film and dancing! The Tryst also embraces a mountain bike event, and there is great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions. And a Photography Competitiontoo!
The 2012 festival programme is now open for bookings
