Starting at the St Fillans Village Store car park, the event has a new dimension added to it this year by way of a Short Challenge of 11 miles, for cyclists of a different ability who wish to take part and enjoy the wonderful scenery in Glens Tarken and Beich where Red Kites, Buzzards and herds of red deer wander through the stunning countryside. Both Challenges are open to riders aged 15 year old and upwards on the day of the race.
The main Challenge begins at the village store car park and runs east towards Comrie for half a mile and turn left up into Station road. You then make your way up the new forestry road into beautiful Glen Tarken and on to the water crossing point and up to lovely Glen Beich to the turning and our water supply point. The return is via the loop of Glen Tarken and the water crossing point again and an exhilarating run down to the sailing club onto Lochearnhead road and back along to the finishing point at the village store car park.
The Short Challenge takes a similar route to the main event but cuts off half way through and returns to the village. It is well sign posted and stewards will be on duty to guide you if required. The start time is also 10.30am.
Many spot prizes and medals will be awarded.
