BEN CHONZIE

Thursday 14th October - hard

This is an ideal opportunity to climb one of the more straightforward and accessible Munros but via a less common route.  The walk has potential for great views and opportunities to see the wildlife including the mountain hares for which Ben Chonzie is famous.  The route has the advantage of a high  start point and initially follows a good Landrover track that runs along Loch Turret to the foot of Ben Chonzie.  There is then a steep ascent to the ridge and on to the summit before re-tracing the route back to the starting point.

BEINN DUBHCHRAIG AND BEN OSS

Thursday 14th October - extra hard

A very rewarding traverse of two fine Munros enjoying spectacular views on a fine day. The route follows a rough track south west along the Allt Coire Dubhchraig finally rising up the grassy corrie to the steeper upper slopes and the summit of Beinn Dubhchraig. Traversing north westerly along a broad summit ridge before turning south west towards the knoll the ascent of Ben Oss is achieved. The most straightforward descent is to return via the ascent route.
