Meeting Point - for all walks please meet in the Crieff Visitor Centre, Muthill Road, Crieff PH7 4HQ Google map here. Complimentary tea and coffee is available.
Children - children are welcome on many Tryst walks but must be accompanied by a responsible adult and be capable of completing the walk. Minimum age for Medium walks is 12 yr and minimum for Hard and Extra Hard is 16 yr. There is no administrative charge for children/young people under 16 but if the walk uses a minibus a transport charge will apply.
Saturday October 8th - Easy
A delightful circular walk along the banks of the River Tay and through the policies of Murthly Castle which contain some of Perthshire’s finest trees. It is easy walking – by Caputh Bridge with views towards Caputh Hill and on around the edge of Branders hill Before passing a Roman Bridge and returning to Gellyburn. This stretch of the River Tay is important for its salmon and trout fishing and you may see buzzards and osprey.

The beautiful area of Buchanty Spout offers a wide range of different subject matter for some fantastic photo opportunities with its diverse flora, fauna and fungi together with the Arboretum, River Almond and maybe even a few leaping Salmon!

Thursday October 13th - EasyAn unforgettable way to spend an evening seeing deer in their natural habitat. Dusk is the best time to see them. Local gamekeeper and wildlife expert, Ali Gowans, knows exactly where to find them - both Red and Roe, Hinds and Stags - and will enlighten you with his knowledge of deer and local wildlife. Please note that this is primarily a minibus excursion rather than a walk.

Geocaching is a form of HiTec Treasure Hunt. It uses GPS devices to find caches - small containers - that other people have hidden and then published details on the internet. It is particularly family friendly and a great activity with children. This is the second year we have run this event so we are going to a new area where we have placed a series of caches suitable for all levels of skills.
