Crieff and Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst, (The Tryst), Privacy Statement.

1.We collect and use customers’ and volunteer’s personal data because is it necessary for:

a) the pursuit of our legitimate interests (as set out below);

b) the purposes of complying with our duties and exercising our rights under a contract for the sale of services to a customer; or

c) complying with our legal obligations.

The normal legal basis for processing personal data, is that it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Tryst, including: –

– selling and supplying services to our customers;

– providing customer details to organisers of the activities which we offer;

– protecting customers and volunteers and maintaining their safety, health and welfare;

– promoting, marketing and advertising our services including emailing you about activities in the    future;

– handling customer contacts, queries, complaints or disputes;

– sending questionnaires after the activity has been completed.

  1. Sharing of Personal Data.

We share personal data with third party organisations who run and lead some of our activities to solely to allow them to identify the customers on that activity.

Financial transactions relating to our services are handled by our payment services providers, Paypal. We will share transaction data with our payment services providers only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing your payments, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds. We do not sell, share, rent, exchange or provide personal data or email lists under any other circumstance with any third parties.

We do not acquire personal data from third parties.

  1. Email Contents and Updates.

We regularly email website news and information updates to those customers who have specifically subscribed to our email service. Such emails are clearly marked as coming from us. All subscription emails will also include clear instructions on how to unsubscribe from our email service and any future emails.

For administrative reasons data may be passed to and stored securely with third party service providers located outside the EEA (European Economic Area)

  1. Retention of Personal Data.

We will keep personal data for no longer than 2 years, from date of receipt, without your express consent.

You have the right to inspect any personal data that we hold for you. We will comply within 14 working days of such request.

  1. Removal or Rectification of Personal Data.

You have the right to ask that any personal data be removed or rectified and we will comply within 14 working days of such request.
