Navigation Training 13th April 2024
This navigation training is essentially a ‘reminder’ of the basics that all hill walkers and mountaineers should be familiar with. The training is being led by an experienced member of the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team, and In recognition of the work that the many Mountain Rescue Teams provide to walkers & climbers, the £10.00 ‘fee’ will be donated to the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. This £10 contribution is non-refundable if a place has to be cancelled after booking.
The navigation training will take place in the hills near Crieff and will be limited to 8 participants. Further details will be provided to participants prior to the training day.

Participants should meet at the car park at the dam at Loch Turret (GR 822 265) at 1000 on Saturday 13th April.While the weather forecast for Saturday is not bad, those taking part should dress appropriately for a day on the hills with boots and waterproofs to hand! The terrain will be wet underfoot and involve a degree of transiting across open / hilly undergrowth. As the training is expected to last until c2pm, attendees should consider bringing a snack / hot drink as well.
